On Saturday, December 14th, 2024, Bowers English School marked a momentous milestone — its 40th anniversary! The event brought together alumni, staff, and friends, both old and new, for a memorable celebration of the school's legacy.
2024 年 12 月 14 日土曜日に、バワーズ イングリッシュ スクールは創立 40 周年という記念すべき節目をお祝いするため、記念パーティーを開催しました。
イベントには、卒業生、スタッフ、新旧の友人にお集まりいただき、学校の伝統を祝う思い出深いイベントとなりました！
The day honored the vision and dedication of Ms. Hiroko Bowers, the school's founder, whose dream of nurturing young minds and fostering a vibrant, supportive community continues to inspire. The event kicked off with an opening speech by Ms. Ranie Bowers, who paid tribute to her late mother, Ms. Hiroko Bowers, and celebrated her incredible achievements in building the school.
この日は、学校の創設者であるヒロコ・バワーズ氏のビジョンと献身を称える日でもありました。子供たちの若い心を育み、活気に満ちた協力的なコミュニティを育むという彼女の夢は、今も人々を鼓舞し続けています。イベントは、レイニー・バワーズ先生による開会のスピーチで始まりました。彼女は亡き母ヒロコ・バワーズ氏に敬意を表し、学校建設における彼女の素晴らしい功績を称えました。
Mr. Shirota, one of the school’s longest-serving student, followed with a heartfelt recollection of his early days as an English student and the transformative influence the school had on him.
Guests were then treated to a delightful spread of food and drinks, accompanied by the smooth sounds of a live jazz band.
続いて、本校で最も長く在籍している生徒の一人である代田さんが、英語を学び始めた頃の思い出や、教室が彼に与えた変革的な影響について心温まるお話をしてくださいました。
その後、みなさんジャズバンドの生演奏の心地よい音色とともに、おいしい料理と飲み物を堪能しました。
The evening’s festivities continued with a lively game of BINGO in the yard. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the young and old, eagerly awaited their chance to win a variety of prizes. Mr. Rodney, the evening’s BINGO caller, kept the crowd engaged, making it the highlight of the night.
夜の部では、庭でのビンゴゲームで盛り上がりました。参加された皆さんはさまざまな賞品を勝ち取るチャンスを待ちわびて、興奮でいっぱいの雰囲気でした。
ビンゴの司会者ロドニー先生は、観客を魅了し続け、その夜のハイライトとなりました。
As the celebration drew to a close, Ms. Ranie Bowers delivered a touching speech, expressing her gratitude to everyone who has supported the school over the years as well as thanking all the attendees for making the anniversary party such a special occasion.
パーティーが終わりに近づくと、レイニー先生が感動的なスピーチを行い、長年にわたり学校を支援してくれたすべての人々に感謝の意を表すとともに、記念パーティーを特別な機会にしてくれたすべての参加者のみなさんに感謝を伝えました。
At Bowers English School, we feel incredibly blessed by the turnout and the warmth shared throughout the evening. With 40 years of history behind us, we look forward to the next chapter — and to celebrating another milestone at the 50th anniversary in 10 years' time!
