スーパーに行くと、いろんな食べ物が並んでいます。小さい時から、おいしくて体にいい ものを食べることは、とっても大切なことです。そして、みんな果物や野菜を食べるのが だいすきですよね。いろんな形、大きさ、カラフルな色の野菜や果物は、見ているだけで おいしそう。楽しく英語で野菜や果物の名前を覚えられます。
９月のアウトドアアクティビティはグリーンバスケットでした。まずは、たくさんの野菜 や果物、野菜用と果物用に、二つのバスケットを用意しました。クラスのお友達を、野菜 チームと果物チームの二つに分けました。それぞれのチームから一人ずつ、’’1,2,3,go’’、 の合図で、野菜や果物の入ったバスケットまで走りました。そして、野菜チームは野菜 を、果物チームは果物をバスケットから一つ取り出しました。選んだら、’’I like …’’と言っ てから、バスケットめがけて、その野菜、果物を投げ入れました。
グリーンバスケットボールのゲームの次は、ヨガで少しクールダウンの時間でした。先生 も一緒に楽しくヨガのポーズをしました。
今日は空が青くて気持ちのよい午前でした。外で遊ぶには最高の時間。１０月はみんな大 好きハロウィーンです。おばけや魔女やかぼちゃのおばけがでてくるかな？来月のアウト ドアアクティビティもお楽しみに！
There are a lot of food choices available in the market today. That is why, it is important that we instill good eating habits at a young age. Plus, kids love to eat fruits and vegetables, don’t they? With its shapes, sizes, and vibrant colors, they get the kids’ attention easily. Making it fun to learn and remember.
September’s Outdoor Activity, the teachers organized Greens Basketball. We prepared vegetable & fruit toys in two buckets: Fruits bucket and Vegetable bucket. The class was divided in to two teams. One team was Fruit team, and the other team was Vegetable team. A student from each team stood up and raced to the front of the buckets. The students had to pick up an item from the basket beside them that corresponds to their team. If the student was in the Fruit team, he or she should have picked up a fruit toy. The same went if the student was in the Vegetable team. Once they picked up the right toy, the students said, “I like…” and they had to throw and shoot it in the bucket.
After playing the Greens Basketball, we had a little bit of time to cool down after all the running. The students enjoyed Fun Yoga with Hisami, our new teacher.
It was a bright and breezy morning. A perfect weather to play outside! And we can’t wait for next month’s first Fall outdoor activity! Will it be about Halloween and ghosts? Or maybe about witches and jack-o-lanterns? We guess we will have to find out!
