Thailand craft activity! タイのクラフト活動

今日はオルタナティブクラスでゾウのマスクを作りました！学年の終わりが近づく中、私たちはタイのカリキュラムを始めました。タイは美しいゾウでとても有名なので、クラフトの日にゾウのマスク作りをするのは最高のアイデアだと思いました。

Today in the alternative class, we made elephant masks! As the end of the school year approaches, we have started our Thailand curriculum. Since Thailand is famous for its beautiful elephants, we thought making elephant masks was the perfect idea for craft day.

まず最初に語彙の確認をしました。ゾウには少し特別な言葉があり、例えば「鼻」ではなく「トランク（trunk）」というように、ゾウならではの表現があります。子どもたちはその語彙もよく理解していました。

First, we reviewed the vocabulary. Elephants have some special words, for example, they use “trunk” instead of “nose.” The children understood the vocabulary very well.

次に、子どもたちはマスクの形を切るところから始めました。それが終わると、いよいよ色塗りの時間です。タイの人々がゾウをどのように美しく飾るのか、素晴らしいデザインを見せてインスピレーションを与えると、いよいよ魔法のような時間が始まりました。子どもたちは夢中になって色を塗り始めました。

Next, the children began by cutting out the shape of their masks. Once that was finished, it was time to color. We showed them the amazing designs that Thai people use to decorate their elephants to give them inspiration, and then the magic began. The children eagerly started coloring.

最後に、すべてを貼り合わせて完成！かっこいいマスクをかぶって、他の先生や生徒たちに披露しました。ゾウや好きな色について子どもたちと話しながら、とても楽しい素晴らしいクラスになりました。

Finally, we put everything together to complete the masks! Wearing their cool masks, the children showed them off to the other teachers and students. It was such a wonderful class, talking with the children about elephants and their favorite colors.
