The Great Bowers Halloween Party was a Blast! ボウアーズのハロウィンパーティーは、とても盛り上がりました！

Today we had two parties — one for kindergarten students and one for elementary school students. To begin with, we started with the younger kids and then finished with the older kids.

今日は、幼稚園の子どもたち向けと小学生向けの2つのパーティーを開催しました。まずは小さい子どもたちから始めて、最後に年上の子どもたちで締めくくりました。

The party kicked off in the morning. Everyone came wearing their cool costumes. There were many scary characters and many cute ones too — everyone looked amazing!

パーティーは朝からスタートしました。みんな思い思いの仮装をして登場！怖いキャラクターもいれば、かわいいキャラクターもたくさんいて、どの子もとても素敵でした。

The first activity for both groups was to make their own Trick or Treat bags (which came in handy later!).They started by writing their names, then decorating with stickers and Halloween cutouts, and finally drawing whatever they liked to make their bags truly unique.

最初のアクティビティは、オリジナルのトリック・オア・トリートバッグ作りです（このバッグは後ほど大活躍します！）。まず名前を書き、そのあとシールやハロウィンの飾りでデコレーションし、最後に自由に絵を描いて、世界に一つだけのバッグを完成させました。

During the older kids’ party, we also had pumpkin carving with our world-famous pumpkin carver, Rod-sensei! Students took turns by grade to help carve the pumpkin.

小学生のパーティーでは、ロッド先生によるかぼちゃのランタン作りも行いました。学年ごとに代表の子どもたちが前に出て、ロッド先生と一緒に楽しくかぼちゃを彫りました！

Next came Bingo! There was a top prize for the team that got the first bingo, so everyone was focused and excited to win.

次のアクティビティはビンゴゲーム！最初にビンゴになったチームには特別賞があり、みんな真剣な表情で数字を追っていました。

After Bingo, the younger kids played Musical Cushions — a version of musical chairs. When the music stopped, everyone had to quickly find a cushion to sit on. Each round, one cushion was removed until only one was left!

ビンゴのあとは、幼稚園の子どもたちがミュージカルクッション（音楽椅子）で大盛り上がり！音楽が止まった瞬間にクッションに座るゲームで、毎回クッションがひとつずつ減っていき、最後の一人になるまで楽しく競い合いました。

Then came one of the highlights — the Costume Contest! This was probably the hardest part for the organizers, as there were so many amazing costumes this year. Sadly, we could only choose two winners from each event, but we carefully looked at every costume and were truly impressed by everyone’s creativity.

そして、イベントのメインともいえるコスチュームコンテストの時間です！今年もたくさんの素晴らしい仮装があり、審査するのが本当に難しかったです。残念ながら、各パーティーから2名ずつしか選ぶことができませんでしたが、一人ひとりの衣装をじっくり見て、心を込めて審査しました。どの子も本当に素敵で、全員を選びたい気持ちでした。

After that was Trick or Treating! Students grabbed the bags they had made earlier and lined up neatly. There were three doors at the venue, each with a teacher behind it!

そのあとは、みんなが楽しみにしていたトリック・オア・トリートの時間です！子どもたちは先ほど作ったバッグを持って、きれいに列を作りました。会場には3つのドアがあり、それぞれのドアの後ろには先生たちが待っています。

We practiced how to say “Trick or Treat!” and then they were off! The children knocked on each door, cheerfully shouting “Trick or Treat!” and collected enough candy to fill a truck!

トリック・オア・トリートのやり方を練習してからスタート！子どもたちは元気に「トリック・オア・トリート！」と叫びながらドアをノックし、トラックがいっぱいになるほどのお菓子を集めて大喜びでした。

Finally, we ended the day with a singalong. All the students sang together before gathering one last time for the goodbye greetings. It was such a fun day, and we were so happy to see everyone enjoying themselves. We can’t wait for next year’s Halloween party!

最後はみんなで歌を歌って1日を締めくくりました。全員で声を合わせて元気に歌い、そのあと笑顔でさよならのあいさつをしました。本当に楽しい1日で、子どもたちが一緒に楽しむ姿を見られてとても嬉しかったです。来年のハロウィンパーティーも今から楽しみです！
